The Port Authority Bus Terminal is between 8th and 9th Avenues and 40th to 42nd Streets, more precisely on 8th Avenue between 40th and 41st Streets. Its direct subway connection is the 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal station, served by the A, C and E lines. This places the bus terminal and its subway connection in the same transport hub, useful for onward journeys that switch between bus and subway. Rail passengers have a separate checked-baggage option: Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station offers checked baggage storage for a fee. That service is at the train hall, not the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
