Left luggage lockers Grand Central New York

For security reasons, you won’t find any public luggage lockers at Grand Central - or any other NYC transit center, including airports and bus depots. This makes it easy for local facilities to overcharge and mislead tourists.

  • CBH Luggage Storage is on the fifth floor of a building a few blocks away. They advertise 24-hour access to their Grand Central lockers and a max rate between $7 and $10 per day - but be sure to read the fine print. Oversize bags or sporting equipment cost up to $20 per day, and dropping bags off before 8am or after 10pm results in a $59 surcharge - yikes!
  • Across from CBH on 46 St., OEG Luggage Storage is slightly more accessible on the 3rd floor. OEG charges between $8 and $10 per bag per day, depending on size. Although they are open from 7am till 11pm most nights of the week, they inexplicably close early at 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
  • The 24hr Schwartz Luggage advertises $5/day for a small bag and $10/day for larger luggage, as well as a short-term rate of $2.50/hr. However, Google and Yelp reviews agree that the rate is always $10 per item, regardless. There’s even an additional $10-15 fee after 11pm. And be prepared - they only take cash.
