More info about storing luggage in Eiffel Tower

Designed by Gustave Eiffel and constructed between 1887 and 1889 to mark Paris’ entrance to the world trade fair, the Eiffel Tower is immediately recognisable as one of the world’s most famous buildings. Situated on the Champs de Mars, the surrounding area boasts some of Paris’ finest cafes and bistros and is well worth a stroll through (bag-free, of course!)

  1. If you fancy wandering a little further, the Arc de Triomphe is a 30-minute walk away along some of Paris’ most beautiful boulevards.
  2. Even if you are not a fan of art, you will appreciate the sublime architecture of the Musee Rodin, an 18th-century building that holds a collection of Auguste Rodin’s sculptures.
  3. Built in the 17th century on King Louis XIV’s orders, the Hôtel des Invalides was erected to provide housing to the injured soldiers and let them live in peace. Nowadays it is a popular tourist destination and worth a visit if you are in the area.
  4. The Eiffel Tower is a magnificent architectural feat, but you should also experience the full Parisian treatment by strolling down Champ de Mars all the way down to the Ecole Militaire.
  5. The Trocadero and the Palais de Chaillot are full of lush gardens, playgrounds and fountains for you to explore. Only a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower, it is a great place to visit on a beautiful day.
  6. The Modern Art Museum of the City of Paris is within walking distance from the Eiffel Tower and frequently holds exhibitions on works from the 20th and present century. Worth at least a couple of your hours.
  7. Although it is a bit touristy, a cruise of the Seine river might be just what you need to relax after a full day.
  8. The Palais Galliera boasts an extensive collection of fashion items from all eras of French history. Worth a visit if you’re interested in the history of fashion design.
  9. Although we never recommend eating out near tourist landmarks, Rue Cler is a market street in which you’ll find all sorts of treats and delicacies.
  10. Finally, if you want to go full Parisian, have a summer or spring picnic on the lawns of Champ de Mars overlooking the tower. Just grab some cheese, a baguette and some wine, and get ready to hit maximum Frenchness.
