Very convenient for us in a quieter residential/ retail area.

Open 24 hours. Fast and easy to use. They greet you, check your booking and 'stash' your luggage in a locked room. Then off you go! Also easy for the taxi drivers to locate by address. And it's a short Uber away from the catacombs. I would definitely use this location again.

The location was good and close to our train station.  Dropping off and picking up our luggage was easy, although the space is small so only one person is able to carry the luggage outside.

Drop-off was quick and easy, and so was pickup. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Great service!

Friendly staff at drop off location. We didn’t pick up our luggage until hours after our scheduled time and encountered no issues. Great service at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!!
  • Gerard7 years ago in Gare Montparnasse
Stasher location was 300 ft from my hotel and the check-in process was seamless and easy. Left a single luggage in Paris for 4 days while we back-packed in the south.

A very convenient solution for walking around without dragging your suitcase. Too expensive, however...

Did what it said on the packet: stashed my bag securely for several days until my parents could pick it up. Booking was easy, and when I rang customer service for a query they were prompt, friendly and helpful.

Good. I was able to drop off my suitcase as agreed and then pick it up later without any issues.

Luggage storage at Gare Montparnasse

Carrying suitcases across Paris after an early check-out or with hours before check-in can leave you stuck at Gare Montparnasse with time to kill and no easy way to carry them all.

The station itself restricts platform access to ticket holders and has no international departures, while nearby Denfert-Rochereau has no left-luggage service of its own. The Jardin du Luxembourg and the Catacombs are both easy to reach from here, but neither is a place where you will want to be carrying bags. Gare Montparnasse handles around 200,000 visitors per day, making it the fourth busiest station in Paris. It also serves domestic intercity TGV routes to Rennes, Nantes, Bordeaux, and Toulouse. The station is served by Paris Metro lines 4, 6, 12, and 13 at Montparnasse-Bienvenüe. An official left-luggage facility is available at Gare Montparnasse. The official luggage lockers are in Hall 1, level 2, near track 24 in the taxi lane next to the Lost & Found. With Stasher, you can store bags from €1.49 per bag per day at 20+ locations near Gare Montparnasse.

Trains, platforms and getting around with luggage

Platform access at Gare Montparnasse is restricted to ticket holders, so don't count on walking someone to their train with bags. TGV INOUI passengers may take two pieces of luggage up to 70 x 90 x 50 cm plus one hand-luggage item up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm, all labeled. The station offers step-free access via lifts, ramps or level paths, with lifts and escalators between levels, and a free Disabled Passenger Assistance desk sits in Concourse 1, level 2. For airport connections, take metro line 6 to Denfert-Rochereau and change to RER line B, which serves both Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly. The station handles no international trains; those all leave from other Paris stations, so check your departure point carefully.

Nearby sights and neighbourhood storage

The Jardin du Luxembourg, served by RER line B at Luxembourg and several metro stops, draws visitors for its gardens, concerts, chess and sports. With so much to do there, you'll want your bags sorted before you go.

The Catacombs of Paris are reachable from Denfert-Rochereau station, which links directly to Charles-de-Gaulle Airport on RER B. Denfert-Rochereau itself has no left-luggage service, so if you're passing through from the airport with bags, arrange storage near Gare Montparnasse or the Catacombs instead.

Montparnasse as a neighbourhood is known for its café culture and artistic history, with the Montparnasse Cemetery and former haunts of Hemingway and Picasso. It's a pleasant area to wander, but bags will slow you down more here than in the wide-open gardens, so it's worth planning storage first. For the Catacombs, booking a timed entry ticket online is strongly recommended.
