Getting to Edinburgh Zoo with luggage

Lothian bus services 12, 26, 31 and the 100 Airlink all stop directly outside the front entrance on Corstorphine Road, which makes arriving with bags straightforward. Haymarket is the nearest mainline station, about 2.5 miles away, and the same bus services cover the journey in roughly 15 minutes. The nearest tram stop is Saughton, though it's a 30-minute walk from the zoo, so it's less practical with heavy luggage. The path from the street to the main entrance is level and at least 1850 mm wide, so wheeled bags roll in without steps or steep sections.

For rugby at Murrayfield, however, don't count on leaving anything at the ground itself — Murrayfield Stadium has no bag storage or cloakroom for visitors.
