Luggage storage at the station and airport
Praha hlavní nádraží, the city's main railway hub, is about a five-minute walk from Wenceslas Square and is directly connected to Václav Havel Airport by the Airport Express bus, a journey of approximately 40 minutes. The station provides self-service storage lockers, and it also runs a supervised left-luggage facility at the start of the right-hand underpass toward the platforms, open every day from 06:00 to 23:00. Out at Václav Havel Airport Prague, the baggage storage facility is in Terminal 2, in the corner of the Departure Hall near the Oversize Baggage Counter. From Praha hlavní nádraží, Metro Line C reaches the Old Town area in about ten minutes.
Bag rules at attractions and venues
The National Museum at the top of Wenceslas Square asks visitors to leave luggage or backpacks larger than 40 x 30 x 20 cm in its free cloakrooms before going in, so a small daypack is the practical limit. The Jewish Museum in Prague prohibits large luggage or backpacks over 30 litres and offers no storage on site.
Art Palace Prague requires bags, luggage and handbags larger than 40 x 30 cm to be deposited in the cloakroom or lockers before entering the exhibitions, while the National Gallery in Prague sets its own limit at objects larger than 50 x 30 x 20 cm or longer than 40 cm.
The Žižkov Television Tower has no cloakroom or lockers for luggage, and the Dancing House has no cloakroom or storage either, so you will need to carry whatever you bring. The Powder Tower likewise has no left-luggage facilities. At the O2 Arena Prague, the maximum bag size is 30 x 20 x 10 cm, roughly a small handbag, so anything bigger has to stay elsewhere.
The Palladium Shopping Centre prohibits excessive luggage, and the Mozart Interactive Museum asks visitors to leave larger bags in designated areas near reception.
Getting around Prague with luggage
On Prague's integrated transport network, PID states that small luggage up to 25 × 45 × 70 cm travels free in zones P, 0 and B, while big luggage or luggage inside an animal carrier costs 25 CZK, or 23 CZK in the app. If you hold a 24-hour ticket or longer on DPP services, you can carry one piece of luggage free of charge.
