Getting around Miami with luggage

The Miami Airport station on Metrorail's Orange Line serves the city centre, with a journey to Downtown Miami of about 15 minutes and a one-way fare of $2.25. Government Center is the downtown transfer point, where free Metromover connections fan out into Brickell and the central district. The rail rules are practical rather than strict: Metrorail asks passengers to keep luggage in designated areas inside each car, and Metromover riders should hold wheeled items firmly on platforms so a stray bag doesn't roll towards the tracks. Bag rules at Miami attractions
