Location was good. Staff a bit difficult to get attention from. They obviously give their own customers attention first (nothing wrong with that)! I did stand around learning all about bike hire in Amsterdam while I waited to collect my bag :)

    Great location

Not secure, anyone could walk into the room off the street. It's also up a very steep and narrow flight of stairs - not suitable for a heavy suitcase. The man was polite and the phone shop was a very short walk from AMS Centraal Station.

Easy to find, helpful since near places we were going. Not a difficult walk from the train station.

Looked a little weird as our bags were in the bike shop but the guy running the place gave me some confidence. Nice guy and made it easy to get in and out.

Storing bags at Centraal Station and Schiphol Airport

Stasher has 16 luggage-storage points near Amsterdam Centraal. The station’s official lockers have a maximum rental period of 3 consecutive days, so they are limited for longer stays.

Schiphol offers two official left-luggage options. Automated lockers accept bags for up to 7 days. The manned storage area is on level -1, between Arrivals 1 and Arrivals 2, and accepts luggage for up to 30 days. These limits make the airport storage options more suitable for longer periods, while Centraal puts bags in the city.

Schiphol’s train station sits directly beneath the terminal, with the service available from platform 3. The journey to Amsterdam Centraal takes approximately 14 to 17 minutes. That short connection makes either airport storage or a quick trip into the city practical, with the storage duration and final destination distinguishing the two options.

Bag-free sightseeing past Amsterdam's strict locker limits

Stasher has 22 luggage-storage points near De Wallen and 20 near Amsterdam Noord, putting somewhere to store bags within easy reach of several major sights. This is useful when on-site facilities cannot take a suitcase. The Van Gogh Museum’s lockers accept items no larger than 45 × 25 × 25 cm. At the Heineken Experience, stored items must fit within 320 × 255 × 492 mm. The Royal Palace Amsterdam permits only handbags up to 30 × 30 × 15 cm inside. Madame Tussauds Amsterdam has no lockers or cloakroom for bags or suitcases. These restrictions make luggage storage in Amsterdam near De Wallen and Amsterdam Noord a practical option for bags that exceed the stated dimensions, or for a visit to Madame Tussauds.

Booking, bag sizes and the Stasher Guarantee

Stasher offers luggage storage in Amsterdam through trusted local shops, hotels and self-service smart lockers. Bookings are made online, and bags are kept safely out of sight until collection. There are no bag-size or weight limits, a useful distinction where museum lockers have tight dimensions. Every booking in Amsterdam is covered by the Stasher Guarantee up to €12,000 per booking, so the protection limit is clear before committing. For collection later in the day, 13 of Stasher’s Amsterdam points stay open late, giving those locations a clear late-opening option.
