Good place to leave something for a brief period and very close to Centraal Station, but I wouldn't want to leave anything there all day. I'm not convinced it's carefully watched all the time, as the owner splits his time between that shop and the shop next door, which seems to be part of the same business.

The person was able to check in our bags right away and find our reservation that I made only an hour before we got there. Pick up was also very fast and easy and it is close to the main train station. The only thing that concerned me is the bags were out in the open so I didn't feel like my bags were really safe even if they were in the back of the store.

We left our luggage at a bike shop in Amsterdam. The luggage was looked after, but not locked in a secure room as stasher said it would be. We did not recieve a number to prove that we owned the bag - as the shop had only recieved one instance of every number tag - none for giving the customer. However, we delivered and collected our bag without a problem for only 5 euros which was very cheap considered the alternatives.
