Getting between Schiphol and Amsterdam with luggage

Schiphol sits 9 kilometres southwest of Amsterdam's centre, and the station is directly beneath the terminal, reached by lifts and escalators. NS trains to Amsterdam Centraal take 14 minutes and run eight times an hour, with a one-way fare of €5.20. If you're managing heavy bags, Schiphol's 24-hour porter service can help between the train station, bus station, taxi rank or Kiss & Ride, and the check-in desks. The staffed baggage storage facility charges €12 per day for odd-size baggage and €2.50 per day for wardrobe items.
