Getting into Tokyo with luggage

The airport is approximately 15 kilometres from the heart of Tokyo, and the Tokyo Monorail connects Terminal 3 Station to Hamamatsucho Station in as little as 13 minutes using the Haneda Express. Hamamatsucho Station provides transfers to the JR Yamanote Line for access to central Tokyo, so the monorail is a practical choice if you're heading into the city with bags. The Keikyu Line also operates trains from Haneda Airport to Shinagawa Station at approximately 10-minute intervals.

Once you're in the city, coin lockers are available for luggage storage inside Harajuku Station and around Tokyo Metro Meiji-Jingumae Station, which is handy if you want to explore Harajuku without dragging a suitcase.
