Bags secured and not left without surveillance.

The lauage was kept under supervision of the reception desk and the service was great (fast and friendly). On the other hand it was kept under direct sun light without air conditioning, so heat sensitive stuff must not be left there

Luggage storage and bag rules at the Allianz Arena

Plenty of visitors to the Allianz Arena need somewhere to leave a bag, since suitcase-sized luggage isn't allowed through the gates. Here's what the stadium itself offers, and where else you can store one nearby.

Official luggage storage is available on the Esplanade at several service points and near the guest entrance. Reaching the arena means a 15-minute walk from Fröttmaning U-Bahn station, after which every visitor passes through bag screening at the entrances. The Allianz Arena sits within Munich's Schwabing-Freimann borough on the Fröttmaning Heath. From 2025, the stadium will also draw concertgoers for major open-air concerts and music events. The stadium welcomes roughly two million visitors each season for football matches, including Bundesliga and European fixtures. Bags must be no larger than A4 size to be allowed inside the Allianz Arena. Storage facilities for bags and luggage larger than A4 are available at the Allianz Arena for a fee. The fee for using the luggage storage service at the Allianz Arena is 2 Euro per item. On non-match days, lockers for standard carry-on luggage are available in the museum's entrance area. The Allianz Arena provides short-term luggage storage on a small scale in the cloakroom area of the FC Bayern Museum. On match days, the luggage storage points open when the museum opens and close one hour after the match ends. With Stasher, you can store bags from €1.49 per bag per day.

There's no strict size limit, though prices can vary with bag size. Every booking comes with the Stasher Guarantee, which protects your bags up to €12,000. Stasher storage in Munich can be booked through the website or app.

Getting to the Allianz Arena with luggage

The closest U-Bahn stop is Fröttmaning on the U6 line, and from there it is roughly a 15-minute walk covering 850 to 900 metres to the stadium entrance. That walk is manageable with a small daypack, and visitors arriving by U-Bahn can reach the stadium from Fröttmaning station via the esplanade, which is also where the stadium's own storage points are located.

Before you go in: security and what to leave behind

Every visitor passes through a security search and bag screening at the entrances, so expect your bag to be opened and checked before you get anywhere near the bowl. Food and drink generally stay outside too: visitors may not bring their own food and drink into the stadium, though the security situation on the day can sometimes result in an exception. For concerts, the arena usually opens one and a half to two hours before the start of the event, so it is worth planning your arrival and any bag drop around that window.
