Luggage storage at Wells Fargo Center

Bringing anything bigger than a small bag to an event at Wells Fargo Center can get complicated fast, since the arena itself offers no public storage on-site.

The nearby stadiums are no more lenient: Lincoln Financial Field restricts you to one clear bag, and Citizens Bank Park bans backpacks outright. Citizens Bank Park does at least rent on-site lockers for prohibited bags, while the Barnes Foundation offers free storage for larger items if you are adding a museum stop to your trip. Philadelphia International Airport does not provide any official luggage storage facilities for passengers. SEPTA rail stations do not have lockers. With Stasher, you can store bags for $2.49 per bag per day.

Nearby stadiums and their bag rules

Lincoln Financial Field, another Philadelphia stadium, is home to the Philadelphia Eagles and hosts various other events, and enforces a clear bag policy that permits only one clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a small clutch no bigger than 4.5" x 6.5".

Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies for 81 home games per year plus concerts and private events, has similarly tight rules: backpacks and drawstring bags are prohibited, while clutch bags or bumbags up to 5" x 7", clear bags up to 12" x 6" x 12", medical bags and changing bags are allowed. If you do arrive with a prohibited bag at Citizens Bank Park, on-site lockers at the First Base Gate, West Suite and Club Entrance, or Left Field Gate will hold it for a $10 cashless fee.

Getting around Philadelphia with luggage

SEPTA buses allow each passenger one carry-on up to 10 lbs and one full-size bag up to 50 lbs, so a suitcase is manageable on the bus but overpacking will not work. The Barnes Foundation asks that bags larger than 12" x 10" be stowed in its free cloakroom or lockers, which is useful if you are combining a museum stop with a game or concert.
