Bag policy and luggage storage at Citizens Bank Park

Heading to a Phillies game with a suitcase in tow is trickier than it looks, since the ballpark’s bag rules don’t allow large bags through the turnstiles.

The ballpark itself has official locker storage at the First Base Gate, West Suite and Club Entrance, and Left Field Gate. Lincoln Financial Field, right next door, is far less flexible, with a clear bag policy that only allows a standard clear bag or a small clutch. Citizens Bank Park is the home ballpark of the Philadelphia Phillies and also hosts major concerts and special events. Only clutch bags or bum bags no larger than 5" x 7", clear bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12", medical bags, and changing bags are permitted inside Citizens Bank Park. Getting to Citizens Bank Park with bags

Visitors arriving by the SEPTA Broad Street Line get off at NRG Station at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue, then walk to the ballpark. The site is bounded by Pattison Avenue to the south, Citizens Bank Way to the west, and Darien Street to the east. SEPTA Bus Routes 4 and 17 also serve the ballpark. For regular season home games, the Third Base Gate and Left Field Gate partially open 2 hours before first pitch on weekdays and 2 1/2 hours before on Saturdays and Sundays.

Nearby venues and their own bag rules

Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, sits right next door and hosts other events too, so if you're headed there after a Phillies game, its own bag rules apply. It enforces a clear bag policy: one clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a small clutch up to 4.5" x 6.5".

The Wells Fargo Center, which hosts sports, concerts, and live events, is also part of the same South Philadelphia sports complex.
