Plenty of Orioles fans roll into Baltimore with a bag that won't make it past the gate, whether they've come straight from the airport or checked out of a hotel before first pitch.

The ballpark itself doesn't operate a storage facility of its own, so the practical move is to arrive light or stash your bag before you head to the gates. Getting there is straightforward by transit, with Camden Station sitting directly at the ballpark and Metro Subway stops a few blocks away. Suitcases and large bags can't be brought inside, so plan to store them elsewhere before you arrive. Under the clear-bag rule, an approved clear bag must be no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches. Laptop bags and wheeled bags are on the prohibited items list, so don't count on bringing either through the gate. The bag policy applies to Orioles' regular season home games and may vary for special events like concerts. The ballpark partners with an outside locker company to offer rental lockers for fans. LockerUP lockers are located at the north end of the Warehouse by Gate H and outside Gates A and C. Locker rental at Oriole Park costs $15 and must be paid by credit card. Getting to the ballpark with luggage

Camden Station sits directly at Oriole Park and is served by MARC commuter rail and Light Rail trains. If you're coming on the Metro Subway instead, the Lexington Market and Charles Center stations are a few blocks from the Camden Yards Sports Complex. The Convention Center Light Rail stop is also near the stadium's main entrance, which can be handy depending on which gate you're heading to. Once you're nearby, Pratt Street is a primary street for pedestrian access to the ballpark and is also a location for rideshare pick-ups and drop-offs. After games, the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Paca Street is a recommended place to order your ride.

What to expect inside the gates

You can bring food and factory-sealed, non-alcoholic drinks inside, as long as everything fits in your one approved bag under the ballpark's policy. Gates generally open 60 minutes before first pitch from Monday to Thursday, and 90 minutes before first pitch from Friday to Sunday. Gates A and H open 2.5 hours before first pitch for all ticket holders, so those are your best bet if you want to get in early. The ballpark is cashless, with credit cards or the O's Pay mobile wallet the only payment methods at concessions and retail spots.
