Luggage Storage - Liverpool Transportation Hubs
As the 10th largest metropolitan area in the United Kingdom, Liverpool has an extensive public transportation system to help you get around. However, not all the transportation hubs will have luggage storage. For example, there are no luggage lockers at the Liverpool One Bus Station. Below are two train stations with options for bag storage.
Liverpool Lime Street Luggage Storage
Liverpool Lime Street railway station is the main station serving Liverpool's city centre. It offers intercity, regional, and national overground services. There is also a left luggage facility operated by Excess Baggage Company and is located opposite the ticket office. The facility is open from 7 am to 8 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 7 am to 11 pm from Friday to Sunday.
There are luggage lockers on offer Lime Street station. They aren’t self-service though - they’re staffed by the Excess Baggage Co.
Useful information about Liverpool Lime Street Station
- Liverpool Lime Street Station is the main station serving the city centre of Liverpool.
- The station is only 7 miles from Liverpool John Lennon Airport - rail connections are available to Liverpool South Parkway.
- Alternatively, you can take the 10A bus to Liverpool ONE bus station and from there catch the 500 Airport Flyer bus to the airport.
Music notes, Curly Music, and Liver News are all areas that offer storage options. They are lovely places to look into as well because the history and level of accommodation are fantastic. People have said that they loved visiting because there were so many options. You will also notice that you can store your luggage in the waterfront area, shopping centers, and Lime Street, which is less than five minutes away from the station.
Liverpool Street Luggage Storage
Excess Baggage Company also provides luggage storage at the Liverpool Street railway station. They are open from 8 am to 9 pm on Mondays to Sundays. The prices range from £7.5 (up to 3 hours) to £27.50 (up to 72 hours).
Left Luggage - Liverpool Airport
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is an international airport closest to the city centre. When traveling from the airport using public transportation, buses 80A and 86A link you to the Liverpool South Parkway train station. This train station then links you to the main Liverpool Lime Street station.
The left luggage facilities at the airport are available at the information desk on the ground floor. It is open from 8:30 am to 5 pm and charges the following prices:
- £10 for 0-3 hours
- £15.00 for one day
- Additional £10 per additional day
- £70.00 per item for one week
You can also ask the front desk about misplaced luggage that may be at the airport's lost property office.

Liverpool is filled with art centres, galleries, museums, unique historic buildings, and sports entertainment. However, when it comes to bag storage, Liverpool attractions don't always have available facilities on site. It's best to call ahead of time to double-check availability and confirm their bag policy. The Beatles Story
A trip to Liverpool isn't complete without a tour of the famous four's life. The Beatles Story is an award-winning permanent exhibit that tells the story of the band's rise to fame. It's located on the equally amazing Royal Albert Dock, which is a UNESCO World heritage waterfront. When space is available, the museum does offer bad storage, so you don't have to carry your backpack around during the tour.
Anfield Stadium
If you want to catch a Liverpool football game while in town, it's most likely at Anfield Stadium. The stadium provides no left luggage facilities, so you'll want to find a Stashpoint nearby or follow their bag policy. One small personal bag no larger than A5 is allowed per person. The following is not allowed:

World Museum
A family-friendly attraction, the World Museum lets you explore different themed exhibits from the stars to the seas. There are also hands-on activities, a planetarium with shows, and a cafe on site. The museum has a cloakroom where you can leave your coats and bags free of charge. Make sure you keep your tickets on you after checking in your bags since they will need to be scanned again to enter the exhibition.
Museum of Liverpool
Learn about the city and its people at the waterfront Museum of Liverpool. This museum is the first national museum that's devoted to a regional city's history. There is no entry fee but the museum does request donations of £5. For this great price (or less!) you also have access to free lockers for your coats and bags.
Tate Gallery
Three floors tall, the Tate Liverpool Art Gallery is one of the most visited gallery outside London. It is home to North England's national collection of contemporary and modern art and features changing displays of world-class art. There are free lockers at the gallery where you can leave your coats and bags.
