Luggage storage at Barcelona Airport

Before you fly: security, liquids and bags

To reach the boarding area you'll need your boarding pass and must pass through security, which includes metal detectors and X-ray machines for your luggage. Liquids in carry-on baggage must be in individual containers of 100 ml or less, all inside a single transparent, resealable plastic bag no bigger than about 20 x 20 cm and 1 litre in capacity. Beyond that, each airline sets its own carry-on size, weight and number of items, so check those limits before you pack.

Getting between the airport and Barcelona

The Aerobús (lines A1 and A2) provides an express coach service between Barcelona Airport and the city centre, with a journey time of approximately 30 to 35 minutes, and a one-way fare of €7.75. The Rodalies R2 Nord train station is only at Terminal 2, and from there trains run about every 30 minutes from 6:00 to midnight to central stations including Barcelona-Sants and Passeig de Gràcia.

Once you reach the Passeig de Gràcia neighbourhood in the city, its Passeig de Gràcia station provides access to metro lines L2, L3, and L4, as well as various train services.
