Arriving and leaving Seoul with luggage

The Airport Railroad Express (AREX) Express Train is the fastest public transport link between Incheon International Airport and Seoul Station, with a journey time of 43 minutes from Terminal 1 and 51 minutes from Terminal 2. The fastest public transport link from Gimpo International Airport to Seoul Station is the AREX commuter train, which takes approximately 20 to 23 minutes. Seoul Station itself doubles as a City Airport Terminal, letting you check in, drop bags and handle immigration for Incheon departures.

A similar service exists near Samseong Station, where the City Airport, Logis & Travel terminal accepts early check-in and baggage for international flights. On the metro, anything over 158cm in combined dimensions or heavier than 32kg is not permitted, though wheelchairs, pushchairs and folding bikes (when folded) are exempt.

Exploring Seoul with luggage

Gyeongbokgung Palace is one of the city's anchor sights, along with N Seoul Tower and Dongdaemun Design Plaza. It closes every Tuesday, and adult admission costs ₩3,000, so timing matters if you're carrying bags and hoping to visit on a set day. You can reach it from Gyeongbokgung Station on Line 3 or Gwanghwamun Station on Line 5, both within a 5- to 10-minute walk.

Parks, museums and neighbourhoods
