Seoul Metro has luggage storage lockers at Seoul Station, operated via touchscreen kiosk, (kinda like a vending machine). There are a limited number of these self-service locker machines in Seoul Station. You can see the number and status of all “unmanned convenience machines” here.
Prices: Fees vary by locker size, as follows:
Small locker: 380x520x270mm (14.9”x20.4”x10.6”) - ₩2,000
Med. locker: 380x520x570mm (14.9”x20.4”x22.4”) - ₩3,000
Large locker: 380x520x870mm (14.9”x20.4”x34.2”) - ₩4,000
Seoul Station lockers are designed for short-term luggage storage and charge in four-hour blocks of time; an additional fee applies after 12 hours. Payment for any additional time is required upon baggage retrieval.
Hours: The machines are only operational from 5 am-midnight when the trains are running.
Bags left more than 3 days without renewal or payment will be sent to a central processing center and discarded after 30 days.
Seoul Station is South Korea’s main transit hub and largest railway station, easily recognized by its modern glass-paned architecture. Along the wide walkways, you’ll find a currency exchange, a food court, and plenty of shopping at Lotte Outlets. Clear signage leads the way with English translations in yellow.

Hongdae is a trendy neighborhood surrounding the renowned school of art and design from which the region got its name, Hongik University. There, you’ll find dance clubs, indie music halls, themed cafes, and vintage shops. A local nonprofit runs an open-air market from March to November every year. Vendors at the Artmarket Freemarket sell handmade art, crafts, clothing, and accessories every Saturday from 1-6 pm at Hongdae University Park.
Hongdae is easily reached via Subway Line 2 at Hongik University Station and Line 6 at Sangsu Station. If you’re taking the bus, look for numbers 273 or 7011.
