Luggage Storage and Lockers in Seattle, Stasher's 2025 Guide

Transit Hub Convenience in Seattle – Explore Bag-Free from the Moment You Arrive

Seattle is a city of views, vibes, and surprises – from iconic landmarks like the Space Needle to waterfront seafood stalls and record stores hidden down backstreets. But if you're rolling into town with luggage in tow, all that charm can get a bit... cumbersome.

Whether you're arriving at King Street Station, docking at Pier 66 or Pier 91, or flying in via SEA Airport, Stasher has convenient luggage storage options across Seattle – especially around Downtown, Pike Place Market, and key transport hubs – so you can start exploring immediately, unburdened.

🚉 Arriving by Train? King Street Station Drops You Straight Into the Action

King Street Station is Seattle’s primary Amtrak hub, connecting Portland, Vancouver, and beyond. From here, you’re walking distance to Downtown Seattle, T-Mobile Park, Pioneer Square, and the ferries.

But let’s be honest: rolling luggage through Seattle’s hilly streets and occasional cobblestones is no way to start your trip.

Stasher offers luggage storage just steps from King Street Station, so you can drop your bags and head straight to Pike Place Market, grab a coffee from the original Starbucks, or catch a Mariners game at Safeco Field (T-Mobile Park) without anything weighing you down.

🛳️ Coming in by Cruise Ship? Get Off at the Port and Get Exploring

Seattle’s Pier 66 (Bell Street Pier) and Pier 91 (Smith Cove Terminal) are the gateways for cruise passengers headed to or from Alaska. Whether you’re just arriving and have hours before your hotel check-in, or disembarking with time to kill before a flight, carrying luggage around the waterfront is not ideal.

With Stasher points near the Port of Seattle, Downtown, and Pike Place, you can store your bags securely and enjoy a few extra hours of seafood, shopping, or skyline views before heading to your next destination.

🧭 From SEA Airport to the City – Use Every Hour, Not the Airport Lounge

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is just a 40-minute Link light rail ride from Downtown. If your hotel check-in isn’t until the afternoon – or your flight isn’t until late – don’t waste that time sitting around the terminal.

Drop your luggage near Westlake Station or Downtown, and squeeze in a few more essentials: a visit to the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), a trip up the Space Needle, or a bowl of clam chowder with a waterfront view.

🛍️ The Best Bits of Seattle Are Best Enjoyed Without a Bag

Seattle is full of layered experiences – many of which are tricky with luggage. Here’s what’s easier after a quick Stasher drop-off:

    • Browse Pike Place Market without bumping into tourists and tomato stands.
    • Climb the Space Needle and explore Seattle Center hands-free.
    • Snap photos in MoPOP without being asked to check your backpack anyway.
    • Board ferries or water taxis without worrying about your gear.
    • Explore the Amazon Spheres or South Lake Union at your own pace, not your suitcase’s.

⚓ Connecting the Dots – From Train to Cruise or City to Airport

Seattle is a great connector city. You might be:

    • Taking the Amtrak from Portland to board a cruise.
    • Arriving by train in the morning, flying out in the evening.
    • Docking after a cruise and not flying until the next day.

Whatever your route, Stasher helps you fill those “in-between” hours with something memorable instead of something stressful. Drop your bags. Enjoy your layover. Explore with ease.

Travel Light, Explore Deep – with Stasher in Seattle

Seattle’s skyline, seafood, and street-level discoveries are all better experienced without luggage slowing you down. With convenient luggage storage near King Street Station, Downtown, Pike Place, and the Cruise Port, you can roam freely and get more out of every minute.

Book online in seconds. Drop your bags securely. Discover Seattle, hands-free.

    Can I get a refund?
We know plans change so any booking can be cancelled up until the drop off window begins. To cancel your booking please log into your account, and under ‘My Bookings’ find the booking you’d like cancelled and refunded. We cannot refund bookings after the drop off time has elapsed unless in special circumstances, e.g. a delayed flight, or if you made a booking in error and have placed a new booking. In this case, please email [email protected] with documentation (e.g. screenshot of flight delay or new booking ID) and we will see what we can do.
Can I extend my booking / add more bags?
Certainly! We can’t do this for you as we do not store card details, so place another booking for the extra days/ bags and email us at [email protected] with your original and new booking IDs. We will then update the host of the extension / addition!
What payment methods do you accept?
Stasher accepts all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, as well as payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are secure and processed quickly.
How do I retrieve my luggage once I’ve stored it?
When you return to collect your luggage, simply present your Booking ID along with either the counterpart tag or a photo of your luggage. The host will then retrieve your bag from the secure storage area. We appreciate feedback, so if you had a good experience, please consider leaving us a review. It helps us monitor and support our hosts.
What happens if I don’t pick up my luggage on time?
No worries! We understand that plans change. The drop-off and pick-up times are just estimates. As long as your booking is within the duration you’ve paid for and the StashPoint is open, you won’t encounter any issues. If you arrive after the location has closed, please contact our support team. If you're unable to collect your luggage the next day, we can arrange shipping for you and provide the associated costs and options.
    What is Stasher’s cancellation policy?
You can cancel your booking anytime before the scheduled drop-off time through your Stasher account under 'Bookings.' You’ll have two options: a 50% refund or 100% coupon for future bookings. Can I store valuable items (e.g., electronics, documents)?
Every bag booked through Stasher is covered by a guarantee of up to $1,400 against theft or damage while stored at our StashPoints. While we prioritize the safety of your luggage, we strongly advise against storing essential travel documents, keys, or valuable electronics such as phones. Please note that only bags booked directly through Stasher are covered by our guarantee. Paying cash directly to the StashPoint violates our terms and conditions, and we will not be able to cover such bookings. Do I need to bring identification to store my luggage?
Yes, you’ll need to bring your proof of booking (a digital copy on your phone is fine), along with a valid photo ID to show the host, and, of course, your bags! Please follow the same process when returning to collect your luggage.
Can someone else pick up my luggage for me?
If someone else needs to pick up or drop off your luggage, please email [email protected] in advance so we can update the host. The new person will also need to present the booking confirmation number and a valid ID.
    Can I pay in store?
No, all bookings must be made online through our website or app for security and guarantee purposes. The process is quick and mobile-friendly, taking just a minute to complete. Cash payments in-store are not accepted, and bookings made outside our platform are not covered by our guarantee.
What sort of items can I store with Stasher?
