2. Alternative Luggage storage and lockers near the Barcelona Port

There are no self-storage lockers at the Barcelona cruise terminals. Your only option is to find a luggage storage facility in the city centre or close to your hotel.


Easy to book online at short notice, and a good price. The location was easy to find, very central and the service in the shop was lovely. Luggage was kept safe and it all felt completely secure so I’d definitely use Stasher again.

Useful Information about the Barcelona Port

  • There is a shuttle bus service that runs between the port terminals to the bottom of La Rambla. Look for blue buses under the name Cruise Bus. The journey shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes. A single ticket costs €3.
  • You cannot use the standard Barcelona transport travel card - the T10 transport ticket on the Cruise Bus.
  • The Barcelona Hop-On Hop-Off TOurist Bus’s nearest stops are at the World Trade Centre and at the Christopher Colombus monument.
  • The nearest metro station as at the bottom of the Ramblas.

What are the top 10 things to do near the Barcelona Port

The area in the immediate surrounding of the port doesn’t offer much in terms of sightseeing. However, the city centre is just a 10-minute bus ride away!

  1. Start at the infamous Las Ramblas pedestrian street starts just outside the Port Authority building.
  2. Stop at the Maremagnum, a commercial complex with an IMAX cinema, a shopping mall and Europe’s largest aquarium that contains over 8,000 fish and 11 sharks in its basins.
  3. Check out the Museu de l’Erotica and its displays of sex in the romantic city of Barcelona.
  4. Take a free walking tour and uncover more of Barcelona’s hidden gems.
  5. Instead of walking through Las Ramblas, why not consider going on a bike ride through it?
  6. La Boqueria is Barcelona’s most famous market and has been the city’s best grocery store for decades. Take a walk around the stalls selling fresh produce and local delicatessen, your Instagram will thank you.
  7. Strike a pose next to Christopher Columbus at the Barcelona Colom monument.
