The people at the YHA Hostel in Cambridge were extremely friendly and helpful.  The location is only a 3 minute walk from the station and so it was the perfect place to leave my bags to explore Cambridge during the day and come back and collect my bags before my 10.00 pm train.

Friendly and quick to bring out the suitcases. They also have a QR code available on the wall for customers to book. Although no tags, I had to take a photo of the suitcases.

We used this hotel on a recent visit to Cambridge, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Dropping off and collecting our luggage was quick, easy and completely hassle-free, allowing us to enjoy the city without carrying our bags around. What really stood out was the staff. They were genuinely friendly, interested in why we were visiting Cambridge, and even took the time to recommend a few local places to visit. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel really welcome. Our luggage was stored safely, the whole process was seamless, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use this StashPoint again. Thank you for making our visit to Cambridge that little bit more enjoyable!

Team members Sheila and Jack helped me when I dropped off my luggage. They were friendly and very knowledgeable about Stasher operations. Team members Harry and Jack were at YHA when I stopped by to pick up my luggage, after touring beautiful Cambridge. They helped me resolve some issues.  I was so impressed with their problem-solving skills!  Hope these young members keep up the good work!  They made my visit to Cambridge especially pleasant and unforgettable.

Storing bags on arrival at Cambridge station and from Stansted

Stasher has 1 luggage-storage point near Cambridge Station. That is a nearby alternative for rail arrivals because Cambridge railway station has no official left luggage facility. Station Cycles, in the long-stay car park, does provide a left-luggage service, though it is not an official station facility.

Cambridge railway station is on Station Road and is managed by Greater Anglia. Direct trains from London Stansted Airport serve Cambridge in approximately 35 minutes, so the nearby Stasher point also suits an arrival from Stansted. Frequent bus routes 1, 3 and 7 connect the rail station with the city centre. A Stasher drop-off near the station supports either a station-side errand or onward travel into town by bus. The bus connection keeps the station-side option relevant when the next stop is central Cambridge, linking rail arrivals, the Stansted service and city-centre routes.

Bag-free visits to Cambridge's museums and gardens

The Fitzwilliam Museum prohibits suitcases and oversized bags in its galleries. Rucksacks worn on your back must measure no more than 40 x 26 x 15 cm, so luggage storage in Cambridge is necessary for anyone carrying a larger bag before a museum visit. The Cambridge University Botanic Garden is a 5-10 minute walk from Cambridge Railway Station’s Station Road Gate, giving station-area visits a straightforward walking route.

Hours, bag sizes, booking and the Stasher Guarantee

The service has no bag size or weight limits. Suitcases, sports kit and oversized items therefore fall within the stated policy, without a separate size or weight restriction.

Online booking in Cambridge is available for a trusted local shop or hotel, or a self-service smart locker. Bags are kept safely out of sight until collection at the selected location.

Before drop-off, cancellation can bring a 50% refund or a 100% coupon. This gives a stated alternative if plans change before the bags are left.

Every booking in Cambridge has the Stasher Guarantee, covering up to £10,000 per booking. This provides a defined level of reassurance alongside the opening-hours and bag-size provisions.
