People were friendly and trustworthy! This location was convenient and saved is from dragging our luggage around for 4 hours while waiting to check into the vacation rental. We were freed up to have lunch, check out some shops and walk on the beach. Couldn't have done those things without this Stasher service at the Surf Shop.

I had an excellent experience with storing my luggage at this location. I was a bit hesitant not having used a service like this but it was perfect to store my suitcase for a few hours while I walked down to the beach! The employees were super kind and I felt totally safe  leaving my stuff with them. I even hung out there for a bit to charge my phone. I highly recommend this place for storing luggage during a long layover so you can enjoy Pacific Beach. I was able to walk to the beach and back. It was about 1 mile away. Totally doable.

Absolutely recommend and highly suggest checking out all of the very unique international luggage accessories that are available. My husband purchased the wallet made in Holland and has enjoyed it.

Storing bags at San Diego Airport and Santa Fe Depot

Stasher has 1 luggage-storage point near San Diego Santa Fe Station, giving general luggage a downtown alternative to the airport’s limited facilities. San Diego International Airport provides no official staffed luggage storage or overnight storage for general luggage. Its only locker is a small unit in Terminal 2 West on Level 1, south of the pet relief area. It is suitable only for small personal items or carry-on bags, so it does not cover larger luggage.

Santa Fe Depot is downtown San Diego’s main intercity rail station, with Amtrak, the COASTER commuter train and three San Diego Trolley lines. MTS Route 992 links Terminals 1 and 2 with the depot in approximately 15 minutes. That direct airport connection places the Stasher point by a station served by intercity rail, commuter rail and trolley services, rather than at an airport with no general luggage facility.

Bag-free sightseeing in Downtown and Balboa Park

Stasher has 2 luggage-storage points near San Diego Downtown, providing a local option for left luggage in San Diego around the city’s cultural sites. Museum storage rules are narrow and vary by venue. The San Diego Museum of Art prohibits items over 16x16x8 inches, although its coat check accepts backpacks and oversized items. Mingei International Museum requires bags and other belongings larger than 12 by 16 inches to go in its cloakroom. Timken Museum applies the same 12 by 16 inch threshold to backpacks and large bags, including luggage and shopping bags, with a complimentary check room. Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego directs items and bags over 16 by 16 inches, or with a strap length of 9 inches or more, to free self-service lockers. These are venue-specific holding points, not one option for larger luggage across multiple museums.

Booking, late collection, and the Stasher Guarantee

Stasher luggage storage in San Diego is booked online at a trusted local shop or hotel, or through a self-service smart locker. Once stored, your bag remains safely out of sight until collection. 6 of Stasher’s San Diego points stay open late, so their opening hours suit evening plans and late flights. Every booking in San Diego is covered by the Stasher Guarantee up to US$14,000 per booking. That combines a choice of storage setting with late access and a defined level of protection for your belongings.
