Needed a central spot to store a bag while hiking the Routeburn. This spot was perfect. Great location in town, easy to find, and friendly team onsite to help with checking in and picking up luggage.
- Lina
Knowing the location is Novetel added confidence to my experience. I knew they would always be there when I need access and sort things out quickly. I think the staff got a bit confused with the non guest stay but not an issue.

Airport lockers, buses and town centre options
Queenstown Airport has keyless self-service luggage lockers outside the terminal in Zone C (Transfers). Charges are per 12-hour period: $7 for small bags, $10 for medium, $15 for large and $20 for extra large. The single terminal handles both domestic and international flights and is open daily from 04:00 to 22:30.
Public bus stops are outside the terminal. Orbus services connect the airport with Queenstown town centre and the Frankton Bus Interchange, running approximately every 15 minutes during the day. Evening services typically run every 30 minutes.
The official Queenstown isite information centre offers a separate luggage service: $5 per small bag or $7 per large bag per day. Its hours are 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, and it does not provide overnight storage.
Storing bags near Skyline and campervan parks
Stasher offers secure luggage storage for bags before a Skyline Queenstown visit. Skyline reserves the right to inspect bags and check for restricted items, so luggage taken into the attraction may be subject to those checks. Campervan parking is separate: Skyline’s multi-storey car park on Brecon Street prohibits campervans. Large campervans can use Boundary Street Carpark, which provides 33 dedicated spaces for large vehicles. Boundary Street covers the vehicle, while luggage storage in Queenstown covers bags kept out of the visit.
Festival dates and late-night storage access
Stasher has 2 Queenstown points that stay open late, plus 1 point open 24/7. That gives luggage storage in Queenstown a late-access option for travellers arriving outside daytime hours, including those landing on a late flight.
The At the World's Edge Festival takes place in Queenstown from 3 October to 16 October 2026. Its multi-day programme makes flexible storage hours useful for festival attendees whose travel times extend beyond regular daytime access. The Queenstown Writers Festival follows from 6 November to 8 November 2026, creating a second major event period where late opening can matter.
For either festival, the late-opening points cover extended hours, while the 24/7 point provides access at any time. Queenstown’s Stasher network therefore includes storage options suited to both festival dates and late arrivals.
Booking, oversized gear and flexibility
Stasher provides online luggage storage in Queenstown through a trusted local shop, hotel, or self-service smart locker. Your bag is kept safely out of sight until collection. There are no bag size or weight limits, making the service suitable for oversized luggage and unusual equipment carried on Queenstown campervan trips and outdoor adventures, including bulky outdoor gear that may not fit standard luggage categories.
