Stasher has been operating since 2015, and it's the world's first luggage storage online service. Working with hundreds of businesses all around the world ―with locations in major cities like London, Amsterdam, and New York― we can guarantee your luggage's safe keeping while you travel, hands-free and carefree!
You can't explore a city while dragging your bags and suitcases around with you; Stasher offers various locations around Florence where you can drop off your stuff and go on about your day, returning to pick everything up when you're ready.
There are a few options for luggage storage in Florence, like the left luggage facilities in train and bus stations, and museum cloakrooms and lockers. However, those are often quite expensive and can only serve you for a limited time and capacity. If you want to be comfortable and… modern, you'll definitely go with Stasher!
Stasher works with many local businesses around Florence, such as hotels, cafes and restaurants; each location has been strategically selected by a professional in our team, devoted to finding the best options available while measuring up to strict company standards and security protocols.
Your luggage is safe with us, securely stored at the StashPoints (Stasher appointed locations) of your choosing, waiting for you to pick them up. Plus, even if you plan to be gone for long, you don't need to worry; we perform regular checks to make sure our safety protocols are being upheld.
There are many reasons why you should opt for luggage storage with Stasher.
Like in all our locations worldwide, luggage storage in Florence starts from €6 per day, and does not exceed €6 for any additional day you leave your luggage!
All around the city, especially focused near major transport hubs and popular areas, you can find the designated StashPoints within a network of hotels and local businesses that serve as a safe storage space for you to leave your belongings while exploring.
Most of our StashPoints are open until late at night, while some even work 24/7 to accommodate your busy schedule or your party hours. After all, you don't know where the day will get you, so you can store your luggage for as long as you want!
Of course, each location has different opening hours, so we recommend that you pay extra attention to the operating hours of our luggage storage locations when booking online.

Here's how you do it:

If for some reason Stasher doesn't cut it for you, there are a few more traditional alternatives you can try ―train stations, airports, museum lockers. However, always keep in mind that whatever you choose, it's best to call ahead and make arrangements, and always be prepared for changes.
Santa Maria Novella Railway Station offers a Left Luggage service, located on the ground floor by Platform 16. The cost is €6 for the first 5 hours, an added €0.90 per hour for 6-12 hours, plus €0.40 per hour for over 12 hours.
Additionally, there is a maximum storage duration of 5 days, and a maximum weight limit of 20kg per bag. Plus, there are very long queues, as the station is often crowded, and you'll need a photo ID to check in. The left luggage facility is open from 6 am to 11 pm.
Florence-Peretola Airport is an international airport, located in the suburb of Peretola, about 5 km northwest of the Florence Santa Maria Novella Station and 6 kilometres from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
Unfortunately, there isn't any luggage storage service at the airport.
Florence has an abundance of museums, like the Uffizi, the Academia, Palazzo Pitti and Palazzo Medici, etc ―there are about 70 museums in town! These establishments usually feature cloakrooms and luggage storage facilities on the premises, so if you're visiting, you can try leaving your items there while browsing around the area.
Keep in mind that museums usually close down early in the day, and the storage space is often limited; it's best if you only have small carry-ons, and you plan on spending the day around the area.
As a last-minute solution, you can ask at the hotel or rental you're staying at; they might be willing to store your luggage for a few hours before or after your check-in, for a price or free of charge.
Plus, you can always try your luck at local shops, restaurants and cafes you might visit; some might offer luggage storage for a price, or accept to keep your suitcases for a few hours if you're a frequent customer.
Of course, the best-case scenario is that you will definitely need to tip the staff!
