The place is kinda hidden and sketchy, behind a laundromat and an internet café, it was not inviting. It was also a bit lacking in the security, they did not asked for a photo or any kind of confirmation those were our bag. Still the guy working there was nice and took our bag without a big notice.

Excellent location just next to the airport bus stop...so convenient. Zoltan , the shop owner could not have been more helpful...he even opened up his shop early for us at very short notice.

We found the shop near to our appartment so didnt have far to carry our bags. Left them for 4 hours and went sight seeing for the day before going to the airport. Booked and paid online and handed the bags into the shop.

The shop is closed to 100E Airport Bus. The host is very nice and easy going. We totally recommended to place luggage at here.

Kalvin ter 1, Budapest, Hungary An excellent location next to the Kalvin ter metro station. Unfortunately on the day I went there it was closed. It would have been great if it the Tech Shop used for luggage storage had been open.

Great experience using this facility at Wombats hostel, close to where we had stayed. Our facility sadly didn't hold luggage on day of leaving, so to find this was great. The lovely staff were so helpful at Wombats, would absolutely recommend. Do cheap too!

Stasher has 20+ luggage-storage points across Budapest, so coverage extends across the city rather than being limited to one area. Luggage storage in Budapest starts from €1.49 per bag per day. That rate is stated per bag and per day, while the city-wide network provides locations in different parts of Budapest. Storage at Budapest's airports and main railway stations

Stasher has 3 luggage-storage points near Nyugati Station, placing storage close to one of Budapest’s main railway areas.

Keleti Pályaudvar is Budapest’s main railway hub for international and long-distance trains. Its automatic luggage lockers are on the basement level and in the side halls. They are available 24 hours a day and accept both coins and cards, providing an on-site locker facility for rail arrivals and departures.

For an airport-to-city transfer, the 100E Airport Express runs directly between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Deák Ferenc tér. It operates 24/7, with a journey of around 40 minutes.

Bag-free sightseeing in central Budapest

Stasher has 4 luggage-storage points near Deák Ferenc tér, a central base for visiting several sights. One Stasher drop is often more practical than moving bags between on-site cloakrooms during a museum-hopping day.

The Hungarian National Gallery requires bags and tote bags exceeding 30 x 25 x 15 cm to go into its cloakroom, and backpacks cannot be carried on the back. The Museum of Fine Arts applies the same size limit to bags, plus a ban on carrying backpacks and umbrellas inside. At the Hungarian National Museum, anything larger than 30 x 25 x 15 cm must go into the cloakroom or lockers. The Hungarian Parliament also requires large bags and packages to be left in its cloakroom.

Similar restrictions apply at the Puskás Aréna museum, where every backpack and bags larger than A4 must be stored. Papp László Sportaréna sends bags over A4 size to a fee-based cloakroom.

Late-night and event-day storage in Budapest

Stasher has 15 Budapest points that stay open late, with 4 open 24/7. That gives late-evening coverage for the 35th Budapest Wine Festival at Buda Castle Palace, scheduled from 9 to 12 September 2026. An evening visit can fit a late-opening point, while a return after the festival can be matched with a 24/7 location.

Liszt Fest 2026 runs across Budapest from 8 to 22 October 2026. Its longer, city-wide programme suits storage that remains available across several dates, including late returns after cultural events. The late-opening points cover evening schedules, while the 24/7 points remove a fixed closing time from the storage window.

Booking, bag sizes and what to expect

Stasher provides online luggage storage in Budapest through trusted local shops and hotels, or through self-service smart lockers. The bag is kept safely out of sight until collection. Stasher has no bag size or weight limits, so unusually large, heavy or awkward luggage is accepted alongside standard bags, without a stated dimensional or weight cap. Both local premises and lockers are available through the same service.
