Where can I store my luggage in Venice?

Searching for luggage storage in Venice? Built on a lagoon at the edge of the Adriatic Sea, Venice captivates visitors with maze-like cobbled streets and opulent Renaissance palaces surrounded by gondola-filled canals.

Once the most important port in the world, Venice amassed such a vast fortune that the Floating City's wealth of art and architecture remains largely unmatched. At night, nothing could be more enchanting than wandering around the narrow streets of the City of Bridges while sampling delicious tapas and prosecco.

Santa Lucia Station

Where to store your luggage near Santa Lucia station

Although the train station has a Left Luggage facility near Platform One, visitors often report waiting in long lines to discover that the facility is full. An independent Deposito Bagagli, next door to the front entrance, offers luggage storage.

The independent Deposito Bagagli charges six euros for a regular-sized bag and eight euros for large bags. With Stasher, you'll only pay five euros per item with no size restrictions. The service operates from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm

Useful information about the area around the Venice Train Station

  • Water taxis await arrivals to shuttle train travelers to the various districts of Venice, including San Marcos.
  • A short walk northeast of the station will take you to the Guglie Bridge, a historic structure decorated with gargoyles. Make sure that you take a look at the 17th-century, baroque Palazzo Svorgnan to the north of the bridge.
  • When you cross the Guglie Bridge, you will enter the Cannaregio district. This neighborhood houses the historic Jewish Ghetto, the Jewish Museum of Venice and several important synagogues.

Luggage storage near Venice airport

Trasbagagli offers luggage storage near Entrance One on the ground floor of the Venice Marco Polo airport.

Venice Marco Polo Airport

It’s worth noting here that Stasher only charges 5 euros per bag for 24 hours of luggage storage in Venice. The Trasbagagli service operates from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, every day

Useful information about the Venice Airport area:

Things to Do in Venice

No trip to Venice can be complete without a visit to Piazza San Marco. Sights like the Doge's Palace, Saint Mark's Basilica and the Bridge of Sighs inspire awe in visitors who brave the hoards of tourists to take a gander. Get there at dawn to beat the crowds. Collectors will be in shopping heaven with luxury boutiques featuring vintage clothing, antiques, and fine Venetian crafts.

Crafts guilds that emerged during Renaissance times remain in operation today. Pick up some lace at the colorful island of Burano, and visit the handmade glass factories on Murano Island. Fans of classical music should not miss an opera at the Gran Teatro La Fenice. If jazz is more your style, head over to the clubs in the Dorsoduro district. While you're in the area, visit the extensive modern art collection at the Peggy Guggenheim museum and the treasures of Venetian painting at the Gallerie dell'Accademia.
