Although the train station has a Left Luggage facility near Platform One, visitors often report waiting in long lines to discover that the facility is full. An independent Deposito Bagagli, next door to the front entrance, offers luggage storage.
The independent Deposito Bagagli charges six euros for a regular-sized bag and eight euros for large bags. With Stasher, you'll only pay five euros per item with no size restrictions. The service operates from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Trasbagagli offers luggage storage near Entrance One on the ground floor of the Venice Marco Polo airport.
Trasbagagli charges seven euros per bag for the first six hours, and additional hours cost 50 cents. That's 16 euros per bag for a full day. It’s worth noting here that Stasher only charges 5 euros per bag for 24 hours of luggage storage in Venice. The Trasbagagli service operates from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, every day
No trip to Venice can be complete without a visit to Piazza San Marco. Sights like the Doge's Palace, Saint Mark's Basilica and the Bridge of Sighs inspire awe in visitors who brave the hoards of tourists to take a gander. Get there at dawn to beat the crowds. Collectors will be in shopping heaven with luxury boutiques featuring vintage clothing, antiques, and fine Venetian crafts.
Crafts guilds that emerged during Renaissance times remain in operation today. Pick up some lace at the colorful island of Burano, and visit the handmade glass factories on Murano Island. Fans of classical music should not miss an opera at the Gran Teatro La Fenice. If jazz is more your style, head over to the clubs in the Dorsoduro district. While you're in the area, visit the extensive modern art collection at the Peggy Guggenheim museum and the treasures of Venetian painting at the Gallerie dell'Accademia.
