If you are heading to or from the airport instead, the ATVO express bus connects Venice Marco Polo Airport with Mestre Railway Station in about 20 minutes. A one-way ticket for that service costs €12.00.
Luggage storage and bag rules at attractions
At Palazzo Ducale, luggage whose three dimensions add up to more than one metre is banned, and smaller bulky items must go in the free cloakroom. The Gallerie dell’Accademia also prohibits bulky bags and backpacks at the door, offering free lockers with a €1 deposit that you get back.
