The people at the YHA Hostel in Cambridge were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is only a 3 minute walk from the station and so it was the perfect place to leave my bags to explore Cambridge during the day and come back and collect my bags before my 10.00 pm train.

We used this hotel on a recent visit to Cambridge, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Dropping off and collecting our luggage was quick, easy and completely hassle-free, allowing us to enjoy the city without carrying our bags around. What really stood out was the staff. They were genuinely friendly, interested in why we were visiting Cambridge, and even took the time to recommend a few local places to visit. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel really welcome. Our luggage was stored safely, the whole process was seamless, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use this StashPoint again. Thank you for making our visit to Cambridge that little bit more enjoyable!

So easy to find in Central Cambridge, and the lad who served me was understanding its my first time using Stasher so he guided me properly on the app too.

Like a 7 min walk from the train station. Really great if you’re taking the train to somewhere, which I did.

Team members Sheila and Jack helped me when I dropped off my luggage. They were friendly and very knowledgeable about Stasher operations. Team members Harry and Jack were at YHA when I stopped by to pick up my luggage, after touring beautiful Cambridge. They helped me resolve some issues. I was so impressed with their problem-solving skills! Hope these young members keep up the good work! They made my visit to Cambridge especially pleasant and unforgettable.

Navigating Peterborough's stations without left luggage
Peterborough train station has no luggage storage or left luggage facility. Luggage trolleys are available there, but they are for moving bags rather than leaving them at the station. The station itself therefore does not provide an official place to store luggage during a rail journey.
From Heathrow, National Express serves terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5, with coaches running to Peterborough Queensgate Bus Station. The fastest journey takes 2 hours 50 minutes. Queensgate is in the city centre and is a 6-minute walk from Peterborough rail station, linking the coach and rail hubs on foot.
Stansted has a rail connection too. Greater Anglia operates up to 2 trains per hour from Peterborough on weekdays. Neither route changes the station’s lack of left luggage, so a separate luggage storage arrangement in Peterborough is needed rather than relying on station facilities.
Bag-free visits to Peterborough's museums and theatres
Peterborough’s New Theatre prohibits large bags and suitcases exceeding 40 x 25 x 25 cm for safety reasons, ruling out larger cases and backpacks inside the venue. Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery has no formal space for personal possessions. Its guidance is to bring only what you can carry, although a limited number of items may be left at reception if space is available. That reception provision is not assured.
Elton Hall does not permit backpacks to be worn, or large bags, other items and pushchairs to be carried inside the Hall. During a house visit, these belongings can be left behind the front desk.
The Museum is approximately a six-minute walk from Peterborough Railway Station. Peterborough Cathedral is approximately 10-15 minutes away through the city centre. These short walks do not change the venues’ bag restrictions.
Planning around major Cathedral exhibitions
Stasher has 10 Peterborough points that stay open late, offering a practical option for late collection during a Cathedral exhibition visit. The Titanosaur exhibition runs at Peterborough Cathedral from 13 April 2026 to 13 September 2026. Travelling Bricks LEGO follows from 18 July 2026 to 29 August 2026. Across these spring and summer dates, early drop-off or late collection can keep luggage storage in Peterborough flexible around a longer visit. The late-opening points are especially relevant when the Cathedral visit finishes late.
How to book and protect your bags
