Great service, nice and quick. Write down what we stashed and our stashed number in a book, we were out with a couple of minutes. Then we collected again within minutes.

The Premier Inn was easy to locate and air conditioned, and they keep your luggage in a locked closet and give you a claim ticket. There's a lift from ground level to the first floor reception desk. Effortless.

In and out of the stash point within a couple of minutes on every occasion. If only everything could be this efficient.

Easy drop off and collection. The venue is 10 to 15 min walk from Canterbury West station and 5 mins from the bus station/Whitefriars. There is the option of taking a taxi from the station. An hourly Uni bus goes from this station to the bus station; which reduces walking time with heavy luggage. There are stairs/lift at the venue up to the reception. If leaving luggage in the morning/early afternoon you will need to find a member of staff as the reception desk is unmanned.

Very easy to drop bags, the staff there were very comfortable with the system. My bags felt secure and well looked after.

I was able to store my heavy suitcase with ease for the entire day so that I could enjoy the city without the pressure of lugging it around. I’ll definitely use it again if I ever find myself with time at the end of a trip. The staff were friendly and took care of everything and the premier inn is just a short walk from the high street.

Storing bags at Canterbury's railway stations

Stasher’s city-centre locations are the practical alternative for luggage storage in Canterbury because neither of the city’s two main railway stations offers an official place to leave bags. Canterbury West and Canterbury East are both managed by Southeastern, but Canterbury East has no official left-luggage facilities, while Canterbury West has no luggage-storage facilities.

The West station has a 54-minute high-speed Southeastern connection from London St Pancras International. The East and West stations therefore serve as the main rail arrival points, but neither supplies station-based storage on arrival. City-centre left luggage in Canterbury is the relevant alternative for passengers whose train terminates at either station.

Canterbury is also a designated PlusBus area. A train ticket can be paired with discounted unlimited bus travel in the city, which provides a public-transport option beyond the railway stations. This is separate from the lack of storage at Canterbury East and Canterbury West: the PlusBus scheme covers bus travel, not official station luggage facilities.

Bag-free visits to Canterbury Cathedral and the city centre

Canterbury Cathedral strictly prohibits suitcases and large bags, and has no facilities for storing visitors’ personal property. Luggage storage in Canterbury is therefore relevant before visiting the Cathedral, as larger bags cannot be taken inside or left there. The Cathedral is a 5-minute walk from Canterbury bus station, making the bus station a useful nearby reference point before continuing on foot to the Cathedral.

Booking, bag sizes, and late collection in Canterbury

Stasher offers online luggage storage in Canterbury through trusted local shops, hotels and self-service smart lockers. Bags are kept safely out of sight until collection. The service has no bag size or weight limits, so neither dimension nor weight sets a restriction on accepted luggage. For late returns, 3 of Stasher’s Canterbury points stay open late. That late opening is useful for evening events and delayed returns. The three points provide a local late-collection option, while the no-limit policy applies across Stasher’s service rather than only to those late-opening locations.
