This location in Cusco is centrally located right by Inca Rail and allowed us to store our bags so we had a few extra days exploring the Sacred Valley after our trip to Machu Picchu. The Stasher hosts were super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

The hostal was great. 24 hour access. I needed to drop off my bag quite early (5-6am), and after ringing the doorbell, someone attended quite quickly, I gave my name, left my bag, and all was done in a couple of minutes. Pickup was just as easy. The place was open when I picked up my bag. I needed to rearrange my bags and then head straight to the airport, and they let me use their space inside to do that. They were very friendly and accommodating, and the whole process of drop-off and pick-up was smooth and easy. All at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

Storing bags at Cusco's airport and train stations

Stasher has 5 luggage-storage points near Inca Rail in Cusco, a city-based option for rail departures because Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport has no official luggage storage or lockers. For an airport-to-rail transfer, luggage storage in Cusco is therefore the relevant alternative. The airport is in Wanchaq, approximately 3 miles (5 kilometres) from the Plaza de Armas, with a drive time of 10 to 15 minutes in light traffic.

Inca Rail offers free luggage storage at its Cusco office at Av. El Sol 843, though a purchase ticket must be presented. Wanchaq Station, on Av. Pachacútec s/n, is an intercity rail hub in central Cusco. Poroy Station is in the District of Poroy, a 20-minute drive from the Plaza de Armas, and provides rail connections to Machu Picchu.

Bag-free sightseeing around the Plaza de Armas

Stasher points near San Pedro and Wanchaq Stations provide luggage storage in Cusco for bags that exceed strict sight rules. Machupicchu llaqta prohibits backpacks, bags and purses larger than 40x35x20 cm. The Museo de Arte Precolombino also refuses bags, backpacks, suitcases, bundles and other objects over 40 cm in width or height. Its luggage and cloakroom service is temporarily suspended, so there is no on-site cloakroom to rely on.

San Pedro Station stands across from the San Pedro central market and is a 10-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas. Its nearby Stasher point suits an oversized bag that would not meet the museum’s limits before the walk into the centre. Wanchaq Station is in Cusco and 15 minutes on foot from the Plaza de Armas, offering another Stasher location for luggage that cannot enter these attractions.

How to book and manage your storage

Stasher provides luggage storage in Cusco through trusted local shops and hotels, plus self-service smart lockers. Online booking is available for a spot, and each bag is kept safely out of sight until collection. There are no bag size or weight limits, so large trekking packs are covered alongside smaller bags. This flexibility applies across both host locations and lockers, without a stated size restriction.
