Arriving and leaving Las Vegas with luggage

Harry Reid International Airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, connected by a free landside shuttle. There's no direct rail link to the Strip, so most travellers reach it by taxi, rideshare, or RTC public bus routes 108, 109, and CX. If you're taking RTC buses, you can only bring bags you can manage independently in one boarding without driver help, and they must fit on your lap or in front of your seat. The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada restricts shopping carts or equipment used to transport items to a maximum size of 18 inches wide by 18 inches long by 30 inches high. Routes 108 and 109 serve Terminal 1 only, so if you land at Terminal 3 you'll need the landside shuttle back to Terminal 1 first. All Las Vegas transit buses operated by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada are lift-equipped, kneel to the kerb, and have low floors.

Luggage storage and bag rules at attractions

T-Mobile Arena prohibits bags and backpacks except for small personal bags measuring 9 inches by 5 inches by 2 inches or smaller, so a handbag or phone-sized pouch is about all you can bring. Allegiant Stadium is more accommodating — it offers bag check at three locations for a $20 non-refundable fee per bag, and luggage and suitcases are accepted.

The Smith Center prohibits oversized bags, luggage, instrument cases, and backpacks, and requires any bag you bring to fit under your seat. The Mob Museum prohibits suitcases and large backpacks inside the museum. Madame Tussauds Las Vegas does not permit large bags or luggage to be left with its staff, so you'll need to arrange storage before arriving.

The Immersive Van Gogh exhibit prohibits backpacks, luggage, and duffle bags and provides no on-site storage at all.

Getting around the Strip and downtown with bags

The Las Vegas Monorail runs parallel to the Strip, connecting seven stations from MGM Grand on the South Strip to SAHARA on the North Strip.
