The location was excellent, very close to Covent Garden. The procedure for dropping off and picking up my luggage was very secure. Highly recommended.

Location was perfect for what we needed. It’s about a 15 minute walk outside the city center and the same distance to the nearest train station. The sidewalks and roads are pretty hard to navigate with rolling luggage (as is most of Europe), but the host was incredibly helpful and kind. This luggage storage allowed my friend and I to explore Pompei, pick up our belongings and move along to Rome since our stay did not offer late check out.

Quick, easy and convenient however it didn't feel very secure when I came to collect my bag, they just asked whoch it was from a series of photos- no booking check or tags.

Luggage storage in Crotone

Crotone rewards travellers who don't treat it as just a beach stop, but with holiday rentals, late flights and cruise arrivals all leaving travellers with bags in awkward situations, it helps to know where they can go.

A couple of the main arrival points and the archaeological sites you'd want to explore have no on-site bag facility of their own, so luggage needs sorting before you set out. Crotone Airport (Sant'Anna) has no official left luggage service, so secure storage needs to be arranged elsewhere before flying. The city's cruise terminal on Banchina di Riva is another arrival point without visitor bag storage on site. Travellers also come for Crotone's Magna Graecia history as the ancient City of Pythagoras and for summer trips along the Calabrian coast. With Stasher, you can store bags from €1.49 per bag per day.

You'll typically find a bag drop at postal services and local shops. Every booking comes with the Stasher Guarantee, which protects your bags up to €12,000. Stasher storage in Crotone can be booked through the website or app.

Getting around Crotone with luggage

Crotone Airport sits about 15 km south of the city in Isola di Capo Rizzuto, so you'll be riding a bus or taxi into the centre rather than walking. Autolinee Romano buses link the train station to both the city centre and the airport, and they leave from right outside the station exit, though some services start 700 metres away at Autostazione Terminal Romano. If you're arriving by ship, Piazza Pitagora is the natural first stop: it's the city's central meeting point and an easy walk from the cruise port on Banchina di Riva.

Exploring Crotone after storing your bags

Crotone isn't just a beach town: cruise ships call at the port during the tourist season, and the city rewards anyone who pauses to explore its deep Greek past. The Parco Archeologico Nazionale di Capo Colonna holds the last surviving column of the Tempio di Hera Lacinia and is one of the best-known sites in the area, while the Castello di Carlo V looms over the town as a ninth-century military fortress built on an ancient Greek acropolis. Closer to the centre, the Pythagoras Museum and Gardens is an outdoor space devoted to the mathematician's life and thought, fitting for the city that claims him. If you're heading back to the airport afterward, the Crotone Airlink bus costs €1.80 as part of a combined Trenitalia train and bus ticket.
