The location was about 15 mins walk (when pulling my suitcase) from the central railway station. It was open late into the evening and was near to a tram stop to get onto central Milan - all perfect for me.  Note: this restaurant closes between 3-6pm although this was not a problem for me.

The stasher point is on the doorstep of London Paddington station, which made it easy to drop off my luggage and get on my way. I also needed somewhere open early (8am) so this was perfect. They checked my booking, asked me to take a picture of my bag and when I returned, they asked to check both things again so I felt my luggage was in a safe environment. They also locked/chained all the luggage together. My only complaint would be on the website it says they have 99 spaces available. When I used this stasher twice, they stored my bag in the store (which is tiny) and behind the till so there is certainly not enough room for 99 bags

Luggage storage in Mering

If you're passing through Mering with time to spare before a train or after checking out of a holiday rental, luggage can quickly become a burden.

Mering has limited luggage storage options: no staffed storage facilities are available, though its tram and bus rules state how you must handle bags on board, and the Heimatmuseum's hours and the station's parking spaces each shape what you can realistically do with your things while you're here. Mering lies in the Aichach-Friedberg district of Bavaria. Mering station is unstaffed, so you cannot count on help with luggage there. The station address is Bahnhofstraße 4, 86415 Mering. Mering functions as a sub-centre within the Augsburg region. With Stasher, you can store bags from €4.97 per bag per day.

Getting around with luggage

On German trams and buses, you must store and supervise your luggage so it doesn't block aisles, doors, or other passengers. Staff can decide case-by-case whether a specific item is allowed on board and where it must go. If you're heading to Munich Airport, the fastest train from Mering takes 1 hour and 13 minutes, with around 64 services a day, so the connection is workable but not instant.

Exploring Mering with bags

The Heimatmuseum in Ludwigspark is free, with voluntary donations, and opens Monday to Friday 08:00–12:00, plus Monday 13:30–16:00 and Thursday 13:30–18:00. Parking at the "P U R Bahnhofstraße" spaces near the station is one option if you're driving with luggage and prefer to leave it in the car.
