Storing bags at Hannover Airport and Hauptbahnhof

Hannover Airport currently has no official left-luggage or baggage-storage service. Airport arrivals who need somewhere to store their bags therefore need to travel into the city. S-Bahn line S5 takes 17 to 18 minutes from the airport to Hannover Hauptbahnhof.

The station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Its automated Mobile Lockers also operate around the clock, making them the station’s option for arrivals outside staffed-service hours. The staffed baggage centre charges €5.00 per bag and opens Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. That weekday schedule does not cover every station opening hour, so the automated lockers provide the station-based alternative at other times. For train arrivals, both services are at the main transport hub. For airport layovers, there is no official storage at the airport itself, so the S5 journey to the Hauptbahnhof is part of the available airport-to-city option.

The airport S-Bahn station is in the basement directly beneath Terminal C, and the S5 runs every 30 minutes.
