Congonhas Airport has no luggage storage facility of its own, and neither does Guarulhos International Airport.
The Airport Bus Service connects Guarulhos to Congonhas, the Tietê and Barra Funda bus terminals, and the Paulista/Augusta hotel circuit. The run from Guarulhos to Barra Funda takes roughly 1 hour 5 minutes. Guarulhos is also served by the Expresso Aeroporto, a CPTM train linking the city centre to the airport. It runs every hour, takes about 35 to 36 minutes, and costs R$ 5,20 one way. The Aeroporto-Guarulhos station is connected to all three terminals by a free shuttle or people mover.
Getting around the city with luggage
The Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) permits passengers to transport luggage with maximum dimensions of 1.5 metres in height, 60 centimetres in width, and 30 centimetres in depth, and on the Linha 5-Lilás, operated by ViaMobilidade, the maximum permitted size for luggage is 150 x 60 x 30 cm.
Metro stations are accessible to people with disabilities or reduced mobility, with preferential elevators and escalators, which helps if you're managing luggage.
Luggage storage and bag rules at attractions
The Pinacoteca de São Paulo bans large bags, backpacks, and handbags from exhibition rooms, and its free storage service has no space for suitcases or backpacks at all.
