First when we realized your lockers were not big enough to store all our luggage we tried to rent two more and you gave us locker number three again. Took us very long time trying to contact you but were not able to. We ended up renting another locker and paid for it. we had to go back and forth from our hotel to locker storage so many times. And not able to talk to anyone right away we were very worried. Later that evening we were able to retrieve our luggage -you open the door and we got our luggage out was good. Also money refund for the locker rented to us twice was good.

The store is at a hotel, so you'll have to queue with guests checking in and out to drop or collect your bags. No problem dropping off, but a 10-minute wait to pick up.

Everything worked out wonderfully. The receptionist was very friendly, he also offered me the chance to sit down if I wanted to rest for a while. I could also use the restroom. My suitcase was kept in a locked room.

Hotel 6 mins from Chester railway station. Staff at hotel super helpful. Very flexible and told us reception covered 24/7 so we didn't need to give a precise return time. All went very smoothly allowing us to enjoy few hours in Chester without being encumbered by our luggage would use again

Luggage storage at the station and around Ashford

Ashford’s mix of quick London trains and local buses means plenty of travellers pass through with a bag and an afternoon to fill, yet the station itself has no official left-luggage service.

The station is well set up for step-free movement but offers no left-luggage service, and while buses and trains carry luggage within set limits, none of that helps once you want to explore the town unburdened. Ashford’s appeal lies in its historic market-town centre and easy access to Kent’s sights, so the practical answer is to arrange storage before you arrive. Visitors can also drop off their shopping bags for free at the outlet's Guest Services desk, provided they show a valid passport or driving licence. The outlet is reachable on foot in under five minutes from the station's international exit by following the signs. With Stasher, you can store bags from £1.49 per bag per day.

Arriving and leaving Ashford with luggage

Ashford International station sends Southeastern high-speed trains to London St Pancras in about 38 minutes, and regular services also run to Charing Cross, Victoria, Dover Priory, Ramsgate, Margate, and Hastings. On board, Southeastern lets each traveller bring up to two larger items, ideally wheeled cases, plus one piece of hand luggage that sits on your lap. The overhead racks are sized for bags that fit in a standard plane's overhead compartment, so a bulky suitcase may be easier on the floor beside you. The station itself has step-free access to every platform via lifts and stairs, which helps when you are pulling cases. Ashford International has no direct public transport link to an airport, so this is a rail-and-bus hub rather than an air-travel one.

Getting around Ashford with bags

Ashford is a market town in Kent, in the South East of England, so distances in the centre are workable on foot once you are not carrying much. Bus travel with luggage is allowed, though Fastrack drivers can refuse items they judge excessive, large, or too awkward to carry safely. On trains, do not expect Eurostar services from Ashford International station for now; they have been suspended since 2020 and have not resumed.

Exploring Ashford once your bag is stored

With your hands free, a couple of historic sights are reachable by Stagecoach buses from Ashford International station: Willesborough Windmill is on routes 10 and 503, while Godinton House & Gardens is on route 507. In the town centre itself, the church of St Mary the Virgin stands on Tufton Street. Ashford has been a market town since the Middle Ages, and its rail connections to London and the Eurotunnel terminal make it a practical base for exploring Kent, whether for designer shopping, heritage visits, or countryside walks.
