Let’s kick things off with our very own Stasher.
What is Stasher?
Stasher is a luggage storage platform that came about in 2015, when people were asking Anthony (Stasher’s co-founder) if they could store their things at his home near King’s Cross.
He would jokingly reply with: “Sure, but I’m charging you for it!”, which was the lightbulb moment 💡
At Stasher we partner with thousands of hotels and shops in over 900 cities around the world, where you can safely pack your bags for a few hours or days.
You may also find locations (which we call Stashpoints) near major Airports, train stations and museums, so you can have a place to store your luggage during a layover or something similar.
We’ll dive deeper into Stasher’s and Nannybag’s pros and cons further on, but for now, have a look at how easy it is to book a location with Stasher:
All you have to do is select your location, number of bags and your desired dates, and you’re presented with a list of choices!
Let’s continue.
What is Nannybag?
Nannybag is one of the most popular luggage storage services out there.
It also offers a wide range of locations worldwide for you to store your left luggage, including other benefits such as insurance and free cancellation which we’ll cover further on.
Similarly to Stasher, one of Nannybag’s strengths are its great customer reviews, as well as how easy it is to use the platform or app.
From a quick glance, both services seem great, and they indeed are!
But how do they compared with each other when it comes to important factors such as:
- Network of locations
- Pricing
- Customer Reviews
And other benefits? Let’s find out.
Stasher vs Nannybag: A Head-to-Head Comparison
Although we could dive into various factors, we believe the four factors below are the most important ones to help you make an all-round decision.
Factor #1: Network of Locations
Arguably the most important thing to look at when evaluating a luggage storage platform is the number of locations available for you to store your bags.
After all, even if such a service checks off all the other boxes, there’s no point in using it if you can’t find a convenient location for your things, right?
Starting off with Stasher, we don’t like to brag, but we can proudly say we recently launched our 5.000th storage point!
This means that you can now store your bags in more than 5.000 locations across 900+ cities globally and counting!
So with some many Stashpoints, you’re bound to find one as close as possible to you.
Moving on to Nannybag, the website doesn’t mention the exact number of locations (or “Nannys”) it has partnered with, but you can find them in over 500 cities worldwide according to its social media.
So since Stasher has a presence in over 1.000 cities and Nannybag in over 500, it makes sense to assume that the former has a larger network of locations.
Factor #2: Pricing
Another factor you should consider is the pricing policy of each platform
In our case, at Stasher we charge a small, fixed price for a full day of storage. To be specific prices start from 3.49€ per bag/day, with no size or weight restrictions on your bags.
On the other hand, prices at Nannybag start from 4.50€ per bag/day, also with no size or weight restrictions.
In both cases, the price is signifactly lower than storing your bags in station lockers!
However, keep in mind that those aren’t the final prices, since both platforms charge a service fee which:
- For Stasher is 0.99€ (+1€ for guarantee)
- For Nannybag is 1.50€
So assuming you select the cheapest “Stashpoint” or “Nanny”, the lowest price possible you can pay for Stasher is 5.48€ per bag/day, while for Nannybag it’s 6€ per bag/day.
Which means Stasher is slightly cheaper than Nannybag.

Factor #3: Customer Reviews
No matter how good a service appears to be, what customers say about it is what really matters, which is why customer reviews are a vital factor to take into account.
By having a look at the most prominent platforms, we can see that Stasher has the following ratings:
- Trustpilot: 4.7/5
- PlayStore: 4.1/5
- AppStore: 4.7/5
While Nannybag has the following ratings:
- Trustpilot: 4.5/5
- PlayStore: N/A
- AppStore: 4.8/5
We notice that Stasher has better reviews on Trustpilot, while Nannybag has better reviews on the AppStore.
When it comes to the PlayStore, reviews for Nannybag weren’t available, so it’s safe to say that things are more or less even between the two platforms regarding their reviews.
Factor #4: Extra Benefits
Last but not least, we have all the additional benefits that a luggage storage platform has to offer.
Things like:
- Flexibility on cancellations and refunds
- Insurance for bag theft or damage
- Customer support
Are all perks that can sometimes make or break your experience as a customer.
On the one hand, Stasher offers free cancellation on all unused bookings and a full refund if you’re not satisfied.
As well as a guarantee of up to £1,000 (or equivalent in other currencies).
On the other hand, Nannybag also offers flexibility and a full refund on unused bookings, plus luggage protection of up to 10,000€.
So we could say that although both platforms offer flexibility and insurance to their users, Nannybag has a slight edge when it comes to the guarantee it offers.
Let’s wrap things up.
In a Nutshell
So that was our comparison between Stasher and Nannybag.
As we mentioned before, there’s no right or wrong choice, since it all depends on your own preferences.
However, after thoroughly evaluating our 4 key factors, we notice that Stasher has a slight edge on 2 of them (locations and pricing), Nannybag has an edge on 1 (extra benefits), while both are equally good when it comes to customer reviews.
