If you’re coming straight from work or an away fan coming with an overnight bag, be wary: Anfield’s bag rules are strict, so plan where your luggage goes before you head to the ground.

Liverpool FC only allows small handheld bags no bigger than A5 (148.5 x 210 mm) into the stadium, plus clear club superstore carrier bags with superstore purchases in them. A4 bags, rucksacks and luggage are not allowed in, and there’s no left-luggage space inside Anfield itself.

Getting there
Anfield is about 3km from Liverpool city centre. Most fans walk from town (around 45 minutes), get a taxi, or take a bus along the main routes from Queen Square. Lime Street is the main station for arrivals by train. If you’re leaving the same night, think about where you collect your bags.

- Kick-off is 20:00 BST. Allow extra time for security on a European night.
- Drop your bags before you join the queue. Anything bigger than A5 will be turned away at the turnstile.
