Vueling Carry-On Cabin Baggage
Carry-on baggage, accompanied baggage, hand-baggage — they’re all the same thing: small suitcases we bring into the passenger cabin on a flight.
Since Vueling is a low-cost airline, there’s only one cabin, and everyone can bring one piece of carry-on luggage. It mustn’t exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm nor weigh more than 10 kilograms. Passengers are also permitted a personal item aboard, like a laptop bag or purse. The difference between carry-on baggage and personal carry-on items is that the latter must fit under the seat; the former must fit in the overhead lockers.

Vueling Checked Baggage
Suitcases and baggage larger than the carry-on limits must be checked. Being a low-cost airline, Vueling doesn’t have a First Class cabin with an included baggage allowance. Instead, everyone must pay for checked luggage.
Ticket holders cannot check more than four suitcases or items, and they cannot weigh more than 30 kilograms without incurring an additional charge.

Vueling Excess Baggage Policy
If you arrive at the airport and your bags are heavier than what you paid for when booking the luggage space, the check-in agent will assess an additional 12€ per overweight kilogram — if there’s still space on the flight. If there’s not, they may bump your luggage to another flight, which could result in a huge logistical nightmare upon arrival at your destination.
Suitcases and luggage items that weigh more than 32 kilograms are not permitted on the plane. If you have oversized packages, the most cost-effective option is a luggage shipper. Typically, it’s a fraction of the checked and excessive baggage fees.
Vueling Sports Equipment
Vueling considers sports equipment to be “special luggage” with its own fee schedule. Like checked baggage, equipment cannot exceed 32 kilograms. However, dimension limits are increased to accommodate things like skis and golf clubs.

Vueling Musical Instruments
Under Vuelings musical instrument policy, passengers can only bring one. Like all other baggage, musical instruments cannot exceed 32 kilograms. Additionally, all instruments must be packed inside a case. Usually, if it’s small enough — like a flute or clarinet — you can bring it aboard as carry-on luggage or a personal item.
