If there’s one thing that springs to mind when you think of London, it’s the city’s fair share of beautifully Instagrammable spots that the world of social media goes crazy for. In our digital world, one trend that has increased in recent years is the obsession with food photography, also known as #FoodPorn.

It has now become the normality to sit and eagerly await your order, but not to eat, to document it with an aesthetically pleasing, filter perfect, Instagram post. By the time it’s passed its spec check and is ready to post, the food is often too cold to eat! If you’re a foodie travelling to London, be sure to check our guide to the best restaurants in the city and visit some of these top Instagrammable food spots.

Peggy Porschen

Starting out as a bespoke wedding and celebration cake business, the delicately crafted cupcakes weren’t staying a secret for long once Instagram had its hands on them. Peggy Porschen is now renowned for its irresistibly pretty and elegant designs that are the ultimate definition of visually aesthetic.

Pretty in pink covered flowers, the only thing that’s sweeter than the décor itself is the cake. Everything Peggy makes is presented beautifully such as the house blend teas that are served in pastel cups to match the décor. Each slice of cake looks almost like a cartoon, fresh out of a magazine page.

In more recent years, the cake shop has become increasingly popular thanks to a surge in visitors from Instagram and the influx of cake photography. Peggy’s Parlour attracts so much attention in film and photography that you can book a consultation with Peggy herself for a professional photo shoot.

To make the most of your visit, it is recommended that you visit Peggy’s earlier in the day, just after open, this way you can snap your pics in front of the pretty backdrop without the risk of strangers unintentionally photobombing!
