Edward in New Road Hotel didn't want to accept my luggage without booking and his reason was that he still had customers coming although on the app it was showing that they had 28 empty places and all my luggage was 8.

This is an awesome idea! I thought that Union Station would have baggage storage, but when I arrived to Chicago there was nothing available! This was a great solution and I could go explore Chicago while I was waiting for my connection. Could not have been easier and it was very inexpensive.
